The judgment and mercy God shows to Saddam is beyond my knowledge, or understanding.
Yet as the punishment for a criminal by men, the sentence was appropriate, if perhaps too merciful.

I can understand some Iraqi Kurds being happy, some Iraqi Shias being happy, even Persians being happy but I still do not understand why Americans are happy about this execution.

Many (though perhaps not even 50%) of Americans are okay with the killing of tyrants. It goes with our love of liberty, freedom and a sense of justice.
