If McCain would have opposed the Bush-Pelosi bailout, as I was hoping he would, he would be polllng near 60 by now.
You are so correct.
For McCain main weakness as a candidate was that he seem to have an reflexive anti-business streak in him as well as a big government reflex. The financial mess has brought out the worse in him.
He is still better then Obama overall, but his reaction to the crisis dampens my enthusiasm.
Also, the reason I wanted Paling (or Romney) as VP was to balance him out with a strong pro-capitalism type.
I don’t understand it, but the McCain campaign has kept Palin leashed up. I don’t know what they are thinking. You got a small business entrepreneur from the last frontier state, she should be the point on promoting democratic capitalism.
