…it was pretty dull and uninteresting.
I never thought I’d use the words “dull” and “uninteresting” to describe a Indiana Jones movie.
I did kike the reference to the Young Indy Chronicles and to Indy being in the OSS during WW2.
The initial scene with Marion was good.
I hated the whole aliens thing. WTF was with that?
I don’t care if they make another one or not now.

I didn’t mind the aliens — it’s a 1950s mythos, and aliens are clearly a part of that.
I minded everything else.
Indiana Jones also struck me as a child’s view of the cool adventures that go into making an issue of the National Geographic.
I was just bored. I don’t mind there being reds.
I thin kI would have prefered some Amazon jungle adventures that would have tied in with Nazi scientist working out of south America. Perhaps Indy Jones meets the Boys From Brazil. I would have liked to have seen a western style three-way standoff: Indy vs KGB vs SS resolved in a unique way (Nazi and reds shooting each other up while indy slinks away with the mcguffin).
I just found it dull. Maybe it is hard to find a good adventure movie nowadays becuase standards are higher. Really, how can a 3 hour movie compete with a 16 hour Lost season or 24 hours of 24 in character development and ploty-goodness.
